Where is my Tax Refund?

"Where is my Tax Refund?" The question that we hear most during peal tax season. This is where your tax refund may be...

Why haven't you received your tax refund?

From the date of lodging your Electronic Tax Return (etax return), it can take up to 12 days for the ATO to process your tax return and release your tax refund.

During peak periods (July to October) and holiday periods (Christmas & Easter), there may be some delays due to office closures.

You may also experience delays if there is anything that needs to be checked over manually by the ATO. Common delays may be:

  • Incorrect Personal Details

  • Incorrect Bank Details

  • Third-party government debts

  • Identity Fraud

  • Over claiming expenses

In most cases, the ATO will attempt to act out any delays as quickly as possible and aim to have all tax returns processed within 20 days, however, in some cases it may take longer.

If you choose to have our fee deducted from your refund (fee from refund), you will need to allow an additional 7-14 days for this to be processed.
