Tax Time 2025: What You Need to Know (Before You Jump the Gun)
Email Body:
Hey [First_name],
The 2025 Tax Season is nearly upon us – but before you start sharpening your refund pencils, let’s get you clued up on what’s really happening.
When Can You Start?
The ATO should be green-lighting 2025 tax returns from around 20 June. That means you’ll technically be able to start your return from then – but hold your horses…

⛔ Why Lodging Too Early Can Bite You
Even though you can start, most prefill data (from your employer, Centrelink, banks, etc.) won’t be fully available until mid-July. The ATO has said as much — and let’s be honest, some financial institutions tend to drag their heels well past that.
Lodging early without all the info might cause:
-
ATO delays and refund holdups
-
Missing income or deductions
-
A little unwanted attention from their review squad
Play It Smart
✅ Use this time to get your receipts and income info together
✅ Load up the Deduction Grabber and claim like a pro
✅ Keep an eye on your emails – we’ll let you know when it's prime time to finalise
And don’t forget – you’ve got until 31 October to get your return done (or even longer if you’re riding with Team GoTax).

P.S. The ATO expects most prefill info to be available by mid-July. But some slow-moving banks might keep you waiting. We’ll nudge you when it's clear for takeoff.
