Hi [First_name],
Aren’t you sick to death of Christmas and New Year’s resolutions?
You know the ones:
“I’ll budget better.”
“I’ll stop spending.”
“I’ll be more sensible next year.”
Yeah… how’s that working out for humanity so far?
At GoTax, we’ve had a team meeting (it lasted about 30 seconds), and we’ve reached a unanimous decision:
F*ck it.
If this year has taught us anything, it’s this:
Next year might be better… or it might be another absolute circus.
So our official Christmas advice?
Go out with a bang.
- Spend the money.
- Eat the food.
- Drink the drinks.
- Buy the thing you absolutely don’t need but definitely want.
Ignore the bills for a couple of weeks.
They’ll still be there next year — they’re very patient like that.
Have fun. Laugh hard. Stay up late.
Make memories that are worth more than whatever’s sitting in your bank account right now.
Then, when next year rolls around and you look at the mess you’ve created…
Don’t panic.
That’s literally our job.
And one serious note — because even Derek has a heart:
Be kind.
Be generous where you can.
There’s always someone doing it tougher than you, so if you’re in a position to help, lend a hand.
It doesn’t have to be big.
It just has to be human.
From all of us at GoTax, thank you for being part of our world this year.
When the new year rolls around and it’s time to deal with grown-up things again, GoTax will be right here doing what we do best:
Helping you get your tax return done properly, simply, and without the usual nonsense.
Until then…
- Eat.
- Drink.
- Spend.
- Laugh.
And worry about it later.
Merry Christmas
The GoTax Team
