At GoTax, we offer a Fee From Refund (FFR) payment option as a convenient way for clients to pay for their tax return preparation. This policy explains how FFR works, what you agree to by choosing this payment method, and your obligations under this arrangement.
1. What is Fee From Refund (FFR)?
Fee From Refund allows you to pay GoTax’s service fees directly from your tax refund, rather than upfront via card or cash. If selected, our fees will be deducted from your refund before it is forwarded to your nominated bank account.
3. What You’re Paying For
FFR covers access and use of the GoTax platform and services, including:
- Access to our secure tax return system and tools
- Pre-filling of ATO data (where available)
- Guided tax return preparation with AI and expert support
- Use of the Deduction Grabber and other proprietary features
- Access to GoTax tax expertise, systems, and intellectual property
Note: Lodgement is an incidental part of the process. Payment is for access, preparation, and support services provided throughout your tax return journey.
4. Your Options for Payment
When completing your tax return with GoTax, you have two payment options:
- Credit/Debit Card or Cash Payment: Pay upfront and proceed to finalise your return.
- Fee From Refund (FFR): Pay via deduction from your expected refund amount.
